Your wedding dress is one of the most important dresses you’ll wear in your lifetime, so the shopping experience is designed to be unique. At Kay’s Kreations, we aim to give you a one-of-a-kind experience, with our dedicated, expert staff helping you through the entire appointment. However, there’s a few things we think that would be helpful in making your appointment run smoothly!
Come With Inspiration...And An Open Mind
One of the biggest tips we can give you is to think a bit about what you may be looking for ahead of your appointment. Check out dresses on Pinterest or in magazines, and bring a few photos of dresses you like. This way, your consultant has a better idea of your personal style, and is able to find dresses you’ll like earlier in your appointment. Also, keep in mind that most wedding gowns run small. Do not let that bother you, the sizing is much different than ready to wear garments. Keep an open-mind! You may be pleasantly surprised by a dress you weren’t expecting to like.
What to Wear
Another key while shopping is to come wearing comfortable underwear in either nude or white, to get the full look or feel of the gown. The key is to arrive comfortable, so that you’re not stressed out or thinking about something else while trying on wedding dresses. We also recommend wearing minimal make-up to your liking and a hairstyle similar to what you wish for on your big day.This will help you to get an overall glance of your look on the day of the wedding.
Guests
While brides typically want to share this experience with their peers and family, you need to be mindful of all the different opinions you can get when inviting others.This can make for a stressful time. Usually a mom or two, a sibling or your bestie girl works best. We ask that no more than 3 guests come with you. However,if you prefer more, we have private appointments available Saturday’s after hours with up to 10 guests.
